Every size is billed per second, at one price on every tier. xlarge needs the Team plan or larger, and the trial runs small and default only.
small to large share their host's CPU: up to 5 vCPU per thread and 1.75× RAM, published live. xlarge, and any custom size above 8 vCPU or 16 GB, gets dedicated threads instead: its vCPUs are host threads of its own, 1:1, never shared with another sandbox. Its RAM comes from the host's pool like every other size's, at the same published ratio.
Custom sizes: --size 3c5g, from 1 to 64 vCPU and 1 to 256 GB of RAM. Up to 8 vCPU and 16 GB they cost $0.004455 per vCPU and $0.0022275 per GB of RAM per hour; larger ones cost $0.0061875 and $0.00309375, and need the plan that allows xlarge.
